The Albacore surged back on the scene this weekend. Most of the fish are in the 1.5 day range. They are coming three size groups. Eight to twelve, twelve to eighteen, and twenty to twenty four pounds. If we continue to have good weather and the water temperature stays constant the bite should develop as the summer goes on. At the Coronado Islands the fishing news is Blue fin Tuna and the Chubasco II out of the Sportsman's dock had four hit the deck on Sunday and the San Diego from Seaforth added six more. The boats fishing the Islands are still landing Yellowtail, Barracuda, and Kelp Bass daily. The local half day boats fishing the La Jolla kelp beds and the deeper water a little farther offshore are scoring good numbers of Rockfish and Calico Bass.
